KALPANA

        Doordarshan is telecasting a New Serial titled “KALPANA” on the  DD National (DD-1) . It is being  telecast every Monday at 9.00 p.m.
        The serial has been Produced & Directed by Parikshat Sahni. Ekta Saraiya,
Lalit Parimu, Neha Balm, Reena Worah, Suresh Chatwal, Priya Ahuja and
Arun Verma are in the main cast.
        This serial is the saga of a woman of rare talent who has to face
insurmountable odds in order to realize her dreams. KALPANA sings lika a
nightingale. But Fate conspires to block the flowering of her talent at
every turn. She is forced to support her mother and father and a younger
sister by working as a receptionist in a Five Star Hotel. She is very
attractive and therefore has to put up with a fair amount of attention
from clients, often of a sexual nature. But her only passion in life is
music.
        KALPANA fights against all odds. Her detractors and enemies do their best
to destroy her. They put impediments in her path at every turn. She puts
up with untold difficulties. Her very first concert is a thundering
success and she takes the city by storm. Her name becomes a household
word.
        Her father, her husband, her old friends return to her. “Success has many
fathers, failure has none” But does she need them now?
