KISI KI NAZARR NA LAGE

Doordarshan will telecast a new daily soap titled “Kisi Ki Nazarr Na Lage”
from 7th May, 2008. The daily soap will be telecast from Monday to Friday
at 01.00 P.M. on DD National (DD-1). The serial has been Produced and
Directed by Rajaa Mukerji. Subhiraaj, Aroop Pal, Sanjeev Seth, Ashish
Kaul, Damini Kanwal Shetty, Kkashish Duggal, Kamalika Guha Thakurta, Kal
Prasad Mukerjee, Buddhaditya Mohanty, Shivani Gosain, Abir Goswami, Ekta
Sharma, Shabnam and Vikas Anand are in the main cast.

“Kisi ki Nazarr Na Lage” is an emotional and suspense filled family drama.
The story revolves around Banerjees, which is a joint family. The head of
the family is a 75 year old man named Rudraprasad Banerjee. He has three
sons from his wife named as Rajshekhar, Kushol, and Anirudh along with a
daughter named Ranjana. Unfortunately Rudraprasad lost his wife just after
his daughter was born and he took up the responsibility of bringing up his
children all by himself.
Rajshekhar, Rudraprasad’s eldest son married a lady named Prabhavati. They
had a son named Shudipto a daughter named Sushmita. They were a perfect
happy family. However their fate didn’t support them and Rajshekhar lost
his wife in an accident, but her body was not found. He and his children
were plunged into depression and were heartbroken. The only female who
gave them hope of a good life filled with love and affection was their
young, impressionable and kindhearted governess named Vanshikha, who was
also the daughter of their driver. When Rudraprasad realized this fact, he
decided to get Vanshikha married to his son, Rajshekhar, overlooking the
age difference of almost 20 years between the two. Vanshikha’s father was
indebted to the Banerjees and thus could not refuse the proposal. However
nobody had known about the unconditional love which Vanshikha and Anirudh,
Rudraprasad’s yougset son shared. Vanshikha being an obedient daughter
quietly married Rajshekhar and allowed her aspirations to die. Anirudh, on
the other hand decided to remain unmarried, as he couldn’t replace the
love for Vanshikha in his heart.It was just once in a drunken stupor that
he had slept with her which resulted in the brith of their daughter,
Ranjana. However he kept her miles away from the fatherly affection and
support. Vanshikha loved her child immensely but to make sure of not being
partial to her daughter, she sent her to a boarding school and devoted
herself to Shudipto and Sushmita. However all her sacrifices went down the
drain, Neither Shudipto and Sushmita were grateful to Vanshikha for her
unconditional love and devotion.

In fact they never accepted her as their mother. Even Raktima hated
Vanshikha as according to Raktima her mother had abandoned her. Thus
Vanshikha was unable to get the love of her own child too. Shudipto got
married to a lady called Arundati and she too kept the same attitude
towards Vanshikha as her husband did. In front of Rudraprasad the whole
family loves each other and behaves as if there are no clashes with anyone
in the family. Rudraprasad believes that he has a perfect happy family
with no clashes between his sons or their wives.
The story begins with Rudraprasad or baba, as he is lovingly called,
celebrating his 75th birthday. He is so immensely happy with his family
that he plans to give them a surprise gift on his birthday. He plans to
reveal the contents of his will to them so that each one knows what they
are going to get. Rudraprasad feels indebted to his family for all the
love and respect they have given him and thus wishes to return some of it
by giving each one an equal share of his property. But just as he is going
to reveal the contents of his will he accidentally overhears some of the
family members speak about him and learns that all the love and respect
they’ve always showed him is a farce. In fact they are awaiting his death
to receive their share of property. Rudraprasad’s picture of a happy
family comes crashing down. He is devastated and heartbroken. He gets so
hurt mentally and emotionally that he collapses due to a fatal heart
attack. He is rushed to the hospital and there is a situation of panic.
Rudraprasad is lying on the hospital recovering from the attack with
Vanshikha by his bedside. Here Rudraprasad opens his heart out to
Vanshikha as he has realized that she is the only one who has genuinely
given him unconditional love and respect. He talks about her past wherein
being a 16-tear old girl she’d taken up all the responsibilities of his
house and children. He thanks her for her deeds for he knows that she has
sacrificed her entire life for the Banerjees without a single expectation
from anyone. He even apologizes to her for the trouble, hatred, and
ungratefulness that his family has given her. Vanshikha is touched by his
words and tries to calm him down. She convinces him to stop taking and
take some rest. Vanshikha then leaves the room to get some water for
Rudraprasad while he drifts off. Meanwhile when Rudraprasad is alone in
the room a mysterious person, whose indentity is not disclosed enters the
room, fidgets with Rudraprasad’s I V machine and quietly leaves before
Vanshikha enters. Suddenly Rudraprasad goes into convulsions and his
health worsens. The doctors rush to him and try to revive him, however
Rudraprasad passes away.
WHAT WILL VANSHIKHA DOES NOW, WILL SHE BE ABLE TO REFUTE PRABHAVATIS CLAIM
OF HER RIGHTS? WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO RUDRAPRASADAS PROPERTY NOW? WILL
RAKTIMA EVER UNDERSTAND HER MOTHERS SACRIFICES AND FORGIVE HER? WILL
VANSHIKHA EVER BE ABLE TO GET LOVE AND RESPECT FROM THE BANERJEE FAMILY
AND DESPITE ALL THIS WILL VANSHIKHA BE ABLE TO FULFILL RUDRAPRASAD’S DREAM
OF A PERFECT FAMILY…………
