• Whereas you were supposed to submit among other things, a non- refundable processing fee of Rs. 10,000/- by Demand Draft as per provision in the guidelines for Acquisition of software by Doordarshan.

• Whereas you chose to submit the said processing fee by cheque bearing No.423697 dated 24.2.2006 drawn on Punjab National Bank instead of Demand Draft.

• Whereas Doordarshan, in acknowledgement of your supposed trustworthiness, tried to honour your cheque and, accordingly, sent it to the Bank for credit into Prasar Bharati’s Account.

• Whereas the said cheque bounced back for non-availability of sufficient funds in your account.
• Whereas such bouncement attracts action under the Indian Negotiable Instruments Act. .

• Whereas you were asked to defend yourself for issuing the Cheque dated 24.2.2006 without having sufficient funds in your account, which you failed to do so.

• Whereas the case with all the above stated facts has been considered by the Competent Authority.

• Now in exercise of powers vested with DG: Doordarshan for appropriate action required to be taken in such case & indiscipline and fraud, it has been decided to blacklist your Company namely M/s Jahanvi Producer and ban the same from any further dealing with Doordarshan.
