FUNCTIONING OF DDK, DELHI

                          DDK, Delhi on its Regional Channel telecasts all types of programmes covering education, information & entertainment. These includePlays, Children’s Programmes, Agriculture, Sports, Health, Entertaining Serials,  on going events in Delhi like “Kalaparikrama” and “Rajdhani Se” etc.

                           The Kendra also telecasts weekly literary programmes in Hindi, Urdu & Punjabi of  half an hour each.  (Patrika, Bazm & Punjabi Darpan).

                          The most popular programme of DDK Delhi is “Evening Live Show”  which is of one hour duration & telecast 5 days a week  i.e. Monday to Friday, where all important aspects of day to day life are covered by inviting guests from all the  walks of life. Important personalities from various disciplines are invited on the show. Phone-in facility for asking question from guest by the viewers is also provided. Response of the programme is very encouraging.

                          The most important aspect of the entire Regional transmission is based on public service broadcasting where a number of programmes are telecast like Consumer Awareness, Legal  Aids, Health,  Women Empowerment etc.

                          DDK, Delhi being the nodal point of Doordarshan, telecast/transmit the National Channel from its studios which is a 24 hrs channel except few hours transmission of Regional Network (4 PM to 8 PM).

                          DDK, Delhi is also entrusted to cover the Parliament Proceedings of Rajya Sabha . Question Hour is also telecast LIVE on DD National Channel (11 Hrs. to 12 Hrs.) by DDK Delhi.

                          Since Delhi is the Capital of India, the maximum Live coverages i.e. National & International are handled by DDK Delhi, including the prestigious OBs/ telecast  of President`s message ,Republic Day Parade, Independence Day, Beating Retreat, Raising Days of the Forces, National & International Sports events, Conferences, etc.

                          Most of the OBs of Sports are handled by DDK, Delhi including the telecast of Cricket Series with commercials and also the Fourth Umpire.  Moreover, services of our staff are invariably taken by “DD Sport / News” for the coverages.

                          DD-Bharati Channel is also transmitted through DDK, Delhi.  Kendra is also producing In-house programmes and doing OBs for DD Bharati.  

                          Last but not the least all the payments of commissioned programmes of DD Bharati, Kashir, Indian Classics , DD Urdu and Acquisition are also made by this Kendra.
